happy new month!

I'm just going to take a moment and brag a little bit, because I actually went to the gym last night and it was great. I have been such an incredibly lazy bum for the past six months, I was a little bit amazed that I could make my legs move that quickly--but I did, and that's the first hurdle! I'm definitely going to ease myself into it so that I don't burn out, but I'm pretty pleased with myself for taking that first step :)

(chambray shirt: walmart; skirt: bargain boutique; scarf: vintage; shoes: seychelles; belt: goodwill)

I feel good about February so far (although my appendages might say otherwise--so so cold!). Instead of drawing up a big long list of resolutions for the New Year, it's much more reasonable to throw together a manageable to-do list for the New Month with only one or two major goals. This February, I resolve to:

1. Finish a first draft of my television pilot
2. Go to the gym 3x/wk
3. Journal at least 1x/wk
4. Improve blog layout

Tonight, I am looking forward to:

chili & blue chips
slippers

Rabbit, Rabbit!

  1. congrats on making it to the gym!! i know how hard it can be in the winter. i am a crazy running person and i even find it rough to get out sometimes. especially since i don't have a gym membership and run in the elements no matter what they are. but there's nothing like it, you know! but once you get in the habit, it's so much easier to get out and do it.
and you look super cute. love the plaid skirt so much!

  2. Hey!!
I am totally there with you on the gym thing!
I just joined one in late december-also am trying to keep going 3x a week!
I wish i had a buddy to help me get going, because it is really hard to make yourself go when the weather is cold and all you wanna do is stay in, eat fattening things and watch bbc shows.
So congrats to you! Keep it up!
psst love your belt with that skirt....

  7. Ooo, ooo, oo, I got a 2nd hand skirt similar to this one that I wasn't sure what to do with. You've inspired me to get it hemmed and fitted.

    Yippeeee! Thanks for MORE inspiration.
