a road with a view (of snow)

Photobucket

Today's photos are extraordinarily subpar thanks to that devil of a sun, who would NOT cooperate. Also, it snowed last night, but let's pretend it didn't.

It would appear that I wasn't quite through with my turn-of-the-century kick, so I watched A Room with a View last night and holy full frontal nudity! I did vaguely remember watching the movie at my friend C's birthday party when I was about twelve years old and being delightfully scandalized (this was exactly the sort of thing my parents attempted to shield me from by sticking to their guns regarding PG-13--not until I was 13--and R-rated--not until I was 18--movies), but it really is a wonderful film. I've been meaning to read so many of E.M. Forster's books for a long time now (and have several sitting pretty on the shelf), and was reinspired to move them to the front of the line. To be fair, I had written 1000 words over a glass of wine before I watched the movie, so the night wasn't a completely unproductive bust :)

  2. Damn sun! It either doesn't shine at all or it shines too much! And ugh, more snow? You guys have it rough...

I love EM Forster. There's a lot of great films, but I think my favourite books was A Passage to India.

  5. The color combo in this is impeccable. And how do you have such long legs? They seem to go on forever! Jealous! That hat, though... it's always the best part. Love that hat.

  9. You're killing me with these colors - love them!

I've only ever read Howard's End by E.M. Forster. I highly recommend it. A Passage to India and A Room with a View have been on my reading list for the longest time. I have watched the film version of A Room with a View (I know, what a cheater!) and it is, as you said, wonderful.
