(jumper/scarf: thrifted; chambray: walmart; socks: uo; shoes: payless)

This jumper is an example of something that an undiscerning eye would certainly overlook. When I found it at Goodwill it was nearly floor-length and looked enormous, but actually fits quite perfectly. It's not terrrribly flattering (culprit: the mass of extra fabric around the waist), but I still think it's pretty awesome. A couple of nights ago I spent quite some time painstakingly hemming (much more difficult with so many small pleats) and ta-da! Cute little on-trend jumper. It had to go with my chambray shirt, obviously.

Not more much to say today. Did I mention K's coming home tonight??

  2. What you did to the jumper has made it look great! I think it's a great, basic colour/print, too. So you'll definitely get a good amount of wear out of it.

I love how you styled it! The blue shirt looks lovely with the houndstooth pattern on the romper! And the socks in the shoes - so adorable!

How cool that you hemmed it yourself! I wish I could do that too. I would hem everything haha :D

  7. Great dress - I love the tiny houndstooth and how the pleating on the waist makes it kinda look like a cummerbund!

  9. I love this little jumper! I would never, ever, get around to hand stitching it, which I guess is why I never see the potential in these things...

  11. Your hemming skills are a wonder. It came out so perfectly! I do the same thing at Goodwill. I see something with the potential to become something wearable then alter it. You look extra sweet with the socks :)

  12. You look so cute in that jumper! Very schoolgirl chic! I bought one at goodwill last summer. When I put it on my boyfriend gave me a look like I was crazy, but they're so cute! I love the lacey socks you paired with it.
