Continuing on the theme that spring will come if I will it to do so by wearing totally inappropriate outerwear in sunny-but-still-frigid weather, I broke out my trusty trench this morning :) I also broke out this scarf again, which is awesome and may be my favorite scarf ever (considering that it has made an appearance in some of my favorite outfits ever, seen here, here, here and here).

Firstly, I would really like to mention how amazing it is that I can pour my little heart out on this blog and people actually read it. And respond to it! Sometimes social media is a wonderful thing :) Although I've never "met" any of you personally, I feel as if we're friends! I love seeing what you're up to (and what you're wearing) every day, and I feel like my life is richer and my perspective broader than it would be without my blogging habit. So thank you for existing (and existing awesomely).
Last night I dragged to the gym even though I realllllly didn't want to (I'm so so bad about exercise) and (of course) was really glad I did. I always feel so much better after I do it, and I'm not sure why I'm so averse to it up until the moment I step onto the treadmill. Then I went home and ate a tasty roasted veggie panini, rewatched Chalk (because I have seriously been considering going into teaching and was in the mood--and it is pretty entertaining) and then spent the rest of the evening sipping red wine and reading Thoreau. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday :) I've been feeling so unproductive lately and I've been trying to make myself work on my script, but I know from experience that if I attempt to force creativity I fall flat on my face, so I just gave in to relaxation and had a lovely night (and actually still felt intellectually stimulated/used my big old brain). Sometimes you just have to let your instincts lead the way...
The colors and pattern on the scarf is so pretty and I love the red legs! Cute classic trench too! I am the same way about exercising, it's awesome once I start but I NEVER want to start! So I just have my schedule, MWF I have to exercise, no excuses.
ReplyDeleteI love the scarf!!! Its perfect!!
ReplyDeleteThe whole outfit is perfect, every piece is so awesome and I especially love your bag (where's it from?) trench and scarf. You look awesome.
ReplyDeleteI used to go to the gym in the evening and it was usually no problem I'd get myself pumped up with certain songs on the bus from university. Now I go right in the morning, and oh my god my body hates running/biking when it still wants to be sleeping. But it feels sooo much happier after.
I think thats the thing with working out. Feels like torture (sometimes) while doing it, but feels amazing later.

Love your blog! I always read it, but don't always comment. The outfit is great and I am wishing warmth your way!
ReplyDeleteman i love that scarf. everytime you wear it, its like a different incarnation. It's your camelion scarf. A spectacular add to your ensemble as usual! those red tights are brilliant as well :)

ReplyDeleteYour outfits are always fun and you're a good read to boot :D Sounds like a lovely evening
I really enjoyed seeing some of your favourite outfits. A scarf really can add so much. : )
ReplyDeleteI found you when I searched for red tights on Chictopia, and followed that here, where I immediately followed you. I absolutely love your fashion sense the most of anyone I'm following, and I don't think there's anything better than wine and Thoreau :)
