Natalie Wood was one of those actresses who always seemed incredibly intelligent--even when she was starring as a precocious young child--and she always had a bit of a smirk in her eye. She strikes me as a very classic movie star--with a quellazaire at her lips, a fur coat around her shoulders and sparkling sequins underneath, she was always camera-ready. Her love life was unique in that she married her childhood crush (Robert Wagner) at a very young age, divorced him, married Richard Gregson, divorced him, and went back to Wagner, whom she lived with until her untimely death by drowning in 1981.
Wasn't she lovely?
very lovely. I love the one of her in the little red cardigan on the boat, so cute!

ReplyDeleteWell done! I always love the history you right about your icons. :)
ReplyDeleteNice choice. Natalie Wood is a favorite of mine. She was so sexy but in a not-always-so-obvious way!!
ReplyDeleteBe it in movies or the photos on your website, Natalie Wood always radiated a sexy confidence about herself… She remains my favorite actress; too hard to pick my favorite photo.
