I love the way my apartment feels in the evening. It's always quietly glowing. I think I might miss the coziness a bit when warm weather finally comes (but only a bit ;). Last night I was up until 1 am (not doing the dishes--whoops!) working on a dress, and K needed his tripod back today anyway, so no photos for me. I had the strangest feeling when I headed out to work this morning--like I was leaving the rabbit hole. Now that I've been making more of an effort to be actively creative in my life, it's almost as if those eight hours a day in the office don't exist--like they're just smudges, or sleep.

  1. I feel the same way about my place... lights low and candles lit, it's so cozy!

  2. Really nice snippets of your apartment, it looks cozy and I love all the vintagey things like the clock and decoration :)
I know, I will miss the coziness of a night at home too when spring comes!

Concerning my job: actually I'm only a student help in the marketing dept. of a conference company, but I was so lucky to be sent to Budapest because we opened up an office there and the Hungarian student helps had to be teached about how to use our marketing database. I've been working at this company for almost 4 years, so they sent me there with my database experience last year. And this year some of the students left, some new ones will be employed and they have to learn it too, that's why they send me there again :)

  4. I love cozy apartments and yours certainly looks that way. Mine is kind of the opposite of cozy, so I wouldn't mind a spot on your sofa! I always find that working and being busy is actually good for fuelling creativity, if you want it enough. Today I worked loads, and actually still slotted in time to go out and write for a bit. The last two days when I had only a couple of classes I was hopelessly unproductive, grrr. Glad you're filling your life with inspiration anyway. : )

  5. Oh I have a so similar sewing machine! The body it's like yours, but it has an incorporated board, too! It was from my great-grandmother, has more than 100 years, but still sews! Beautiful place <3

  6. I will miss the coziness that winter brings into our home but not enough to postpone Spring :) I really do love your lace curtains. I hope to find similar panels for our dinning room.

  7. Winter usually brings out my lazy sloppiness habits. But I love the little glimpses into your home. These little snapshots seem exactly like what I would picture your home to be. Quirky details, vintage items, and loads of books :)

  9. I love the warm, yellow glow in your apartment. Nice shot! :) You also have very nice interests – the piano and the shelf of exciting novels tell me that you are into music and books. It’s true what they say, “your apartment completely describes you as a person.”

  10. You’re a natural born artist! You were able to artistically combine antique pieces with modern objects. The arrangement looks so stunning! Plus the beaming yellow color of your apartment lends a charm and vibrancy to the place.

  11. I never liked the color yellow, not until I saw the picture of your new apartment. Were you the one who chose this color? Or was it already like this even before you moved in? I agree with Joachim about your apartment – its design and everything on it, describes the kind of person that you are.
