primary colors

I love this dress & will forever. It's the perfect color, perfect fit--perfect :) If you had asked me a year ago if I would ever wear bright red and yellow together, I would have laughed in your face. This color combination always makes me think of ketchup and mustard, but it also feels very autumnal to me right now--and the cozy thermal knit is just the cherry on top. Literally. Well, cherry underneath. Anyway! It's funny how my sense of what works and what doesn't has changed so dramatically since I started this blog... while I still don't believe I could ever pull off hammer pants, I do think that some stylish ladies can pull them off quite nicely. I wear black and brown together almost daily (although I never really understood that old faux-pas), and now I'm wearing red and yellow. And I think it works!

(dress: F21; thermal: TJMaxx; boots: ALDO; scarf: thrifted)

I am seriously working for the weekend this week. And I am soo so broke right now, I desperately need a paycheck. My empty wallet is kind of making me regret the 5 bottles of champagne I purchased on a whim last week... almost. To be fair, it was Andre, and it is five dollars at the grocery store near my office (instead of seven-fifty--pshaw!). So you know I had to stock up. That's my life, how's yours ?? :)

  1. Stocking up on champagne? I like it. I also never understood why black and brown aren't mean to be worn together, since they go with everything.

  6. Wow, I love this! And I too have found my fashion "don'ts" shifting since I started my blog. It's liberating, ain't it? :)

Oh, and I'm with you about the money woes. Things have been soooo tight, and I just got a parking ticket to boot! No champagne for me. :(
