to make the season bright

Christmas is upon us! I got some pretty bah humbug news yesterday, but I've been trying to keep my spirits up in honor of the holiday... the enormous red bow in my hair helps! I grabbed it for $.75 at Michael's yesterday evening when I was doing some last-minute browsing and decided to slap it on a barrette this morning for some holiday cheer.

(bow: michael's; skirt: bargain boutique; cardigan: target; tights: hue; boots: seychelles)

I went on a bit of a spree at Bargain Boutique on my lunch break yesterday and ended up with some very awesome new things... this skirt most definitely near the top of the list (and for $2!). I'm tempted to shorten it to my usual mini length but it's so amazing I feel like that would be a travesty. What do you think? Keep it long and impractical or short and ready-to-wear? There will be a bit of radio silence on this here blog over the weekend, but I'll be back on Tuesday!

Merry Christmas!!

  1. Definitely keep it long! True to the look and it's fun to play around with other lengths! It's hard to get used to, but I've been enjoying wearing long skirts lately, especially in winter, it's like wearing a swishy blanket!

Love the cuddly sweater and red details...Merry Christmas (hope your humbug news is temporary or irrelevant in the long run!)

  10. Keep the skirt long! Though I feel a bit hypocritical now saying that my favourite picture is the one where you're hiking it up. Oh well. There will always be other plaid mini skirts, I think this one's great as is. The whole look is just great.

    Merry Christmas Caitlin!
