(skirt: goodwill; shirt: old navy; belt: salvation army; tights: ??; shoes: seychelles; scarf: etsy)
So remember how I said I only wanted to wear grey and was settling in to a long winter of monochromatic monotony? I lied. This happened last week as well--I muted my outfit one day and came back the next with a burst of loud color. It's like I'm drunk at the color wheel. This is kind of a metaphor for my life I think.
I paired this skirt with this shirt to give it a sort of dress-like appearance. They don't exactly match, but it's close enough to make you wonder--is it a dress? Is it a skirt? Is it a sandwich? (Just testing your attention span.) It is Friday (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), after all. I have the hardest time picking tights to go with red dresses--for some reason, nothing feels right. I think this kind of works, and I originally threw on my black mary janes but decided that it probably wouldn't photograph well and I would end up looking like I had two charred, blackened stumps for legs. I didn't want to worry you.
Happy Weekend, everyone!
