cozy roly-poly

I never thought I would look forward to a day when I could just go to work, but I've been running around like a decapitated chicken for the past couple of days, and I just want to hibernate. If I have to hibernate in a cubicle, so be it.

(sweater: LLBean; jeans: PacSun; thermal/scarf: TJMaxx; socks: stolen from mom; boots: Seychelles)

If you had asked me three years ago if I would ever be caught dead in a big puffy sweater that made me look like a lollipop, I would have laughed at you. I also never, ever used to wear my hair up because I thought I had elephantine ears. Now I can laugh at my younger self, because I think my ears are pretty ordinary (albeit a bit protuberant). Plus, I like rolling out of bed and rolling my hair into a big bun and throwing on a sweater that may or may not make me look roly-poly. I guess that's a good indication that I've reached a level of self-comfort :)

  2. Same ear issue as you, I think mine are huge too. However I think you're hair looks great up like this, adds some height too.

Outfit wise, yes I want to recreate this whole darn thing. I guess I'm asking for an LLBean Sweater this Christmas. And you'll probably see my socks up and over jeans with some low boots soon as well. This is all right up my alley.

Oh also come hang on twitter...

  7. Isn't it amazing when you suddenly realize you don't care anymore about some ridiculous insecurity you used to have? ; )

I used to avoid enormous sweaters like the plague, but now I just want to be warm!

  8. i love your hair up! and the big sweater is my very favorite thing here. it's so awesome. and with the red scarf and snow....just delightful. so glad you got over your insecurities. you know, that's the best part about getting older, we just realize those things aren't quite so bad and without them we'd look just like every one else. and that would suck.

  9. I don't blame you for wanting to hibernate with that snow out there. Keep warm! The red scarf looks like the perfect accoutrement for that :)

  11. Oh, meant to say, I usually get turron from my friend when he visits from Spain but since he's not visiting this year, I picked some up on eBay. It's soooo nice!
