It is Monday and I am back with a Vengeance! In a hat! Which is awesome! This weekend was really busy & exhausting (in a good way, for the most part) and included a) hearing music & playing music with new friends until the early morning hours, b) an extra-exciting trip to the new Goodwill in S. Burlington (which I've been desperate to go to, and I'm so glad I finally did!), c) a library fundraiser at my old elementary school with the family band, and d) watching movies & recovering on Sunday... all day.
This faux-fur hat and classy French Attractions scarf (La Tour Eiffel, Sacre Coeur...) were $1.98 and $.99, respectively, at Goodwill. I was certainly a sight to see--running around like a chicken with my head cut off--snatching up every little thing that caught the corner of my eye... I even had to send K for an emergency basket to hold everything so that I could rifle with both hands.
The best part is that one of the movies we watched on our lazy Sunday was Moonstruck (it's been so long since I'd seen it, I forgot how great it is!) and I saw versions of this hat everywhere (all upon the balding heads of ancient Italian men). At least I know of one demographic that thinks my hat is cool :)
Also, words cannot describe how unbelievably frigid it is outside. Still.
I LOVE the thrift shops in Burlington- I've had so many great finds there! way into The Clothing Line, The Possibility Shop, and Battery St. Jeans... I am really missing Vermont right now- next time I'm there I will have to check out the new goodwill!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI actually don't have tattoos, it's just a shirt I got. It actually freaks people out all the time, even people who have known me for a long time!
I love those tights and scarf!
ReplyDeleteOh Caitlin, that hat is adorable on you! I love that you found such a wonderful items thrifting. I love when that happens!!
