Pardon my absence, please, I've been preoccupied ...
...with planning the Great American Road Trip!

On May 18, K and I will be packing up the station wagon and embarking on the adventure of a lifetime, spending three months crossing and re-crossing the US of A.  I have wanted to go on this trip since I was in high school, and (ten years later...) it's finally happening!  This is part of the reason why I haven't been shopping for new clothes to blog about (or shopping for anything, really, except sneakers and camping gear), and have been generally a miser about money for the past many months.  It will be tight, and when we return I will be unbelievably broke, but this is one of those things that I just HAVE to do in my life, and now is the time.  The blog will likely change a bit.  Or a lot.  And that's okay with me, I'm ready for an evolution.

I hope you'll come along for the ride!
